The Battle of Gettysburg started on July, 1, 1863. This battle was one of the largest and most crucial battle of the war. The Battle of Gettysburg Day 2 started on July, 2, 1863 and lasted for three days long, with many different parts. General Robert E. Lee invaded Pennsylvania with over 75,000 men. General George G. Meade was waiting  at the hills of the Gettysburg.
When the start of day 2 happened, over 75,000 confederate forces were positioned alongseminary ridge. The ridge was of wooded are parrallel to the Union's defenses along Cemetary Ridge and at Culp's Hill. Lee started off day 2 with a full attack against the well prepared northern troops. General Robert E. Lee had a 150 gun volley, that the north replied to with a one hundred connon volly. The north decided to save their ammo and wait for the ensueing enemy. At the end of day 2 the north took the victorious win.

intresting facts
-The only Gettysburg's citizen killed in the Battle of Gettysburg was Mary Virinia "Ginnie" Wade.
-The first shot that was fird was 3 miles at the intersection of Knoxlyn Road and U.S. R.T.
-The second day of the Battle of Gettysburg stared before dawn adn ended after dark.
-The two armies were only a mile apart on two parallel ridges.
